I have always been interested in ‘hands-on’ therapies and natural medicine but did not decide to study it until 2003. I was travelling in South-East Asia and decided to take a Thai massage course at Bangkok’s famous Wat Po School. I enjoyed it so much I decided to stay and do a second ‘medical massage therapy’ course before returning to England; I had found my calling. When back in England I enrolled on an anatomy & physiology course before going on to study various holistic therapies and body massage. I also began to work as a holistic/massage therapist in a local clinic. As I continued to study I realised I had a particular interest the treatment of pain, injury and physical body problems. This drew me to many therapies which fell under the ‘bodywork’ umbrella, so I took many advanced bodywork courses in a wide variety of different techniques.
I love my job and the fact that my career is to help people feel better both physically and mentally. I also take great pride in the fact that I have been able to help many people who could not be helped by conventional medicine and felt other therapies offered them only limited relief. I am dedicated to continuing my studies in Advanced Bodywork and also hope to study tui-na, herbalism and counselling in the future.
